4/19/17: We got some sad news for you, all John Mayer fans. Katy Perry, John's ex, despite her recent breakup with Orlando Bloom, is still not into Mayer. In an attempt to rekindle the friendship, Mayer used this opportunity to reach out to his old love. He sent one hundred roses to her house along with an attached note saying "I'm here for you". Seems like a nice gesture right? Wrong. Katy apparently had the roses donated to a nursing home and proceded to get pictures of the elderly with the roses. She then had them sent to Mayer. If that is not direct, I don't know what is! However, despite the relationship struggles, his newest album "The Search for Everything" has been doing well on the charts. 4/4/17: John Mayer is still moving the hearts of many! Just last night he gave the fans at Air Canada Centre the time of their lives. This extremely talented and experienced musician and artist knows how to capture the attention of thousands. He makes the entire crowd feel engaged by the song choice, asthetics, and comments between songs. He is said to be very "charming, fun, and natural" when performing; he really knows what he is doing up there! Mayer, himself, contributes his success to "hearing his musical instincts and listening to them"; as he explains to one reporter the key to his success at song writing in the past. Also it has been mentioned to us that the third wave on his new songs on his newest album should be released April 14th, so exciting! Finally, Mayer also states his want to "settle down". As much as he loves his music and work, he wants to share it with someone. However this music star has a long way to go due to his reputation of being a "womanizer". He has dated some of the most famous women around the world such as Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry. He says since he has become an uncle he begins to recognize the want for a companion of his own. It has just recently been revealed that Mayer has already contacted her in hopes to see and make sure that she is okay. The singer-songwriter John Mayer has become one of the most respected performers in the contemporary pop music scene.  He learned to play the guitar in his early teens, and while still attending high school he played in clubs around the area.  His determination to establish himself as a professional musician led to his decision to drop out of Boston’s Berklee College of Music so he could devote himself to his craft. 

After several years of performing, he scored a deal from Aware Records, which released his solo album, Room for Squares, in 2001.  It was soon picked up for distribution (and slightly reconfigured) by Columbia Records, and the album gradually became a hit with the public.  Mayer would win a Grammy Award in the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance category for "Your Body Is a Wonderland."  His subsequent efforts—Heavier Things (2003), Continuum (2006), Battle Studies (2009), and Born and Raised (2012)—have enhanced his reputation as a top-notch pop musician.  In addition, Mayer has also dabbled as a political activist, a magazine columnist (for Esquire), and even a stand-up comedian.
